SPIRITUS missionaries bring HOPE to our youth and the Church!

SPIRITUS is doing the essential work of forming young adults to be leaders in the Catholic Church. We provide our faith communities with passionate, well-formed individuals who bring fresh perspectives, energy, and a deep desire to serve in evangelization, youth ministry, and community outreach. SPIRITUS trains missionaries to be leaders through catechesis, mentorship, and active participation in the evangelizing mission of Jesus, equipping them to defend and share the faith, ensuring that the Church remains relevant and impactful in an ever-changing world.

70% of SPIRITUS missionaries continue serving in Catholic parishes, schools and apostolates after their mission year.

SPIRITUS helps thousands of students encounter Jesus, giving them a reason for hope.

Catholic youth experience Christ's unfathomable love in a way that is strikingly different from what they are used to. Students who attend SPIRITUS retreats leave feeling seen, loved, and valued; they are given a reason to have hope and are encouraged to fall more in love with Jesus.

Haley, a second-year missionary, shares that students often "lack an eternal perspective." They follow societal norms without feeling like there are other options. She states that on retreat, "students encounter Jesus and feel the love He has for them." When students experience this love, something changes in them. They are renewed in spirit and report feeling known, heard and cared for by the missionaries.

SPIRITUS missionaries give nine months of service to inspire 5,000 Catholic youth on 170 retreats throughout Wisconsin. The missionaries lead the youth into powerful encounters with Jesus that help the youth embrace a life of faith.

Your gift will help provide the $20,000 needed per missionary to provide for their basic needs, leadership formation, and mentoring.
