🦈🦈 The Robosharks are going to the MATE Underwater ROV World Championships!! 🦈🦈

On Saturday, May 4th, 2024 the Boulder High School Robotics team won FIRST PLACE in the Ranger division! 🤖 As a result, the team earned a spot at the WORLDS competition in June. Teams from all over the world will compete in the underwater competition focused on Ocean Ecology, Maintaining undersea infrastructure like Fiberoptic networks, monitoring coral health, and maintaining other undersea technologies. The Robosharks are an after-school club open to all students at our school. If you ever saw the movie 📽️ Spare Parts (2015) starring Jamie Lee Curtis, George Lopez and Marissa Tomei, you have a decent inkling of what the competition is like!!

We have a generous Boulder High grad who will match our fundraising to help us cover the considerable costs of travelling from Denver to Tennessee, which will total approximately $15,000, all told. The intrepid crew consists of 10 high school students, 4 brave mentors, a cool underwater robot and all the associated tools and supplies required to make the thing go.
