Paradise for Pangolins

What is Paradise for Pangolins?  

We're so glad you asked. This campaign goal is to build a multi-unit pangolin house in order to provide safe quarantine, rehabilitation, and if necessary, long-term housing for pangolin rescues. 

We rescue multiple pangolins every year, sometimes multiple per month!  In Laos, there are four species and all of them are endangered due to the massive demand for their scales and meat. Their scales are used in Traditional Chinese Medicine and their meat consumed as a delicacy.  

In fact the demand is so high that pangolins are THE MOST TRAFFICKED mammal IN THE WORLD.  Not a typo.  They are being driven to extinction at an extremely rapid rate. 

The good news is that we intercept and have the expertise to care for, protect, and release pangolins in protected areas. 

What we don't currently have is a place to house them!  We need a pangolin paradise house and with your support we can build one!!  

After our forced relocation from our previous site in 2023-2024, we were not able to build enclosures for pangolins at our New Site. 

Every dollar counts as costs are much lower in Laos than other, more developed, countries. We will joining forces with you, our Wildlife Warriors, to access grants for this work as well.  Together, we can provide a safe haven and have real impacts on the conservation of these amazing, but appallingly exploited creatures.
