In 2020, as the pandemic was hitting its first peak, I applied to be a peer counselor with SQSH - somewhat on a whim, just to keep myself grounded with a goal for the summer. Since then, I have learned more than I could have imagined about mental health, community, LGBTQIA+ advocacy, and radical practices of support and knowledge-sharing. I've grown far more comfortable in my own skin, thanks to being part of SQSH and being around so many shining examples of what it means to be a badass queer human. 

We are by and for the queer community. We would love for you to be part of our vision for queer liberation, whether you are LGBTQIA+ or an ally! It would mean so much to me personally as well.
