The Sustainable Spaces Collective (SSC) is a fiscally sponsored project and non-profit association comprised of queer, indigenous, latinx, black, and non-QTPOC organizers from across the U.S who gather with the common purpose of fostering sustainable living practices through public workshops and empowerment.

At SSC we are focused on increasing accessibility to old and new alternative building & material practices that circumvent industrial economic participation. We implement, develop, and teach a variety of sustainable methods that reduce GHG emissions for housing, heating, cooking, and other living needs. Our methods are based in materials that can be sourced locally and processed easily with low to zero greenhouse gas producing methods. Thus, our workshops are founded in bringing real hands-on exposure to
techniques like earthen building, material processing, passive solar, permaculture, saltwater battery, animal rendering, & many others. We work to teach communities to make their own tools & infrastructure through various natural building & crafting workshops.
