St. Thomas Aquinas Rowing Team

Hollywood Youth Rowing Club is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that began in 2015 to help youth pursue a worthwhile activity after school - Rowing. Our organization supports St. Thomas Aquinas High School Rowing - our school.

Our mission is to use the sport of Rowing to instill confidence and character in our youth through the lifelong values that Rowing instills - teamwork, accountability, resiliency, a strong work ethic and a healthy lifestyle. Our athletes live these values each and every day at practice! Their dedication and commitment to our team has led them to many State and Regional Championships. They even earned a silver medal at Nationals in their 1st trip there in 2023! But, most importantly, our youth have found a passion, friendships and a reason to work hard each day.

The athletes practice 5-6 days per week after a full day of school and before a night of homework. They travel to regattas in Florida and out-of-state and still manage to be top students. They are driven and committed to being their best for their team!

But, they need your help! Our equipment is expensive with boats costing as much as $50,000. Oars cost close to $500 each and a seat or a pair of shoes is $100 each. Everything adds up! We fund our own daily operations and travel but need to fund raise for equipment. So, we are asking for your help!

On January 11, each athlete will be rowing 10,000 meters to earn donations during our Annual Erg-A-Thon. Please consider supporting us in this endeavor. Your donation will go directly to equipment for our team. We are hoping to purchase 2 new boats for the Girls and Boys Teams.
