Your favorite (rugby) team's march toward a National Title continued Saturday, 4/25, in the National Sweet Sixteens. Kickoff at 1 pm, taking on the Oceanside Chiefs.

It's Win or Go Home. And if we win -- we Sunday.

Please consider donating to our social and travel budget. The Vegas trip will cost around $500 per player between transportation and lodging. A few dollars goes a long way.

Silicon Valley Rugby Football Club is that team providing positive impact and a healthy community for the boys and girls, men and women of Silicon Valley.

Our mission is more than being Silicon Valley’s destination for rugby players of all ages, but to foster future teammates and leaders across sport, school, work and fields throughout the world – knowing our family always has a home in Silicon Valley.

About us

We are a family of over 1000 strong – with players currently representing over 10 local schools, 15 colleges, dozens of professions. Our alumni study, work, live, and play throughout Silicon Valley – and the world. Each one of them has a home in Silicon Valley Rugby.

Established in 2000 as a high school rugby club, we are a young club hosting youth rugby teams for boys and girls ages 6 through 18 from all over the Silicon Valley. Our Men’s side, founded in 2014, won D4 in 2020, finished nationally-ranked in Sevens in 2021 after competitions resumed, and finished in a virtual tie for NorCal D3 in Spring 2022. Our family grew even stronger, finishing Top-8 in the Nation in May ‘23. In 2024, we doubled down, launching a Women’s side and a second Men’s developmental side. The Men won D2 Nor Cal Playoffs, and D3 advanced to the semifinals. High school went undefeated. Our high-performance side finished 3nd in the North American Invitational against semi-pros. The women played harder than ever. 2025 found the Men of D2 winning NCRFU, advancing to the Elite Eight. In the meantime, D3 finished fourth, and the women wrapped up their first full season of friendlies.

And here we are with 2026 -- the Men just won D2 and are off to Sweet Sixteens in Las Vegas. D3 finished fifth in a wildly competitive division, missing NCRFU playoffs by tiebreakers. The women are wrapping up their first league competition season, adding players and experience every week.

Along the way, we’ve had dozens of alum earn college scholarships to play rugby (and get degrees), several play professionally, one nominated for the collegiate national player of the year, three play overseas for the USA Junior National’s side, and one plays professionally in France.

Through action in our community as well as on the pitch, Silicon Valley Rugby are building the basis for a destination rugby team. By 2030, our goal is to support endowment for permanent coaches across our youth, men’s, and women’s teams. We want to provide a home for culturally-driven competitive teams across all age groups and genders.

We have a plan to get there. It won’t happen without the Silicon Valley community – and it won’t happen without you.
