The Next 'Be-In Joy Boston' is Happening – And You’re Invited!

This November, we’re taking over Boston Common to bring you something that’s sorely missing in the world today: JOY. That’s right, folks pure, unfiltered joy. We’re talking about belly laughs, deep conversations, contagious smiles, and the type of positivity that even your grumpy uncle can’t resist.

📍 Where: in Boston Common, adjacent to the Visitors' Center. You know, that spot where everyone’s always either walking their dog or pretending to jog.)

Now, we wish we could say joy grows on trees (but if you find one of those, let us know). Truth is, it takes a little moolah to pull off an event like this. Our goal is to raise $6,650 to bring this vision to life, and here’s where your dollars will go:

$350 – Sound Equipment To ensure everyone can hear the music, announcements, and conversations, our first priority is securing sound equipment. This will cover microphones, speakers, and the necessary setup for clear, engaging communication.

$250 - $350 – Printed Marketing Materials With 500 flyers and 100 posters, we’ll spread the word about the event across Boston. These materials will invite people to join us, regardless of their background or prior exposure to events like this.

$300 - $500 – 4 Free-Standing Positivity Pledge/Mindfulness Signs We’ll set up 4 free-standing signs featuring the Positivity Pledge and mindfulness techniques to guide attendees.

$300 - $500 – 4 Free-Standing Conversational Prompt/Active Listening Signs We’ll add 4 free-standing conversational prompt signs that encourage meaningful connections and conversations during the event.

$150 - $300 – Positivity Wall A central piece of the Be-In will be the Positivity Wall a free-standing structure where attendees can write uplifting messages and share positivity with the community.

$100 - $150 – Kindness Cards We’ll distribute 500 kindness cards with small acts of kindness prompts to attendees. These cards are designed to spread joy and create a ripple effect of positivity throughout the event.

$300 - $500 – Buttons and Bracelets for Attendees We’ll provide branded buttons and bracelets as free tokens of the event, reminding attendees of the Be-In’s message long after the day is over.

$150 - $250 – Conversation Stations (2 Stations) To encourage deeper engagement, we’ll set up 2 conversation stations with signs and 4 lawn chairs in each.

$300 - $500 – Contingency Fund We’ll set aside a contingency fund to cover any unexpected costs or last-minute needs that arise during event setup or on the day itself.

$200 - $400 – Virtual Assistant (VA) We’ll bring on a VA to help manage social media, outreach, and event logistics in the weeks leading up to the event.

$300 - $500 – Online Ads We’ll invest in Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok ads to help spread the word further and reach a diverse audience across Boston.

$150 - $200 – Gratitude Tree We’ll create a beautiful Gratitude Tree at the event, where attendees can write messages of gratitude on colorful tags and hang them on the tree.

$375 - $600 – Sweatshirts for Onsite Sales We’ll produce 15 Be-In branded sweatshirts for attendees to buy as keepsakes from the event.
