Meet Gerdie – Our Pig Ambassador
Gerdie and her four sisters were rescued after Hurricane Florence devastated farms in North Carolina. Floodwaters left animals scattered, and many farmers refused to take them back. Local animal welfare groups stepped in, working with sanctuaries across the country to find safe homes.

SASHA Farm welcomed five of the displaced piglets, who made the long journey to Michigan. Today, Gerdie has grown into one of the largest—and bossiest—ladies of her drove!
