I'm organizing a fundraiser to support Guardians of Flushing Bay (GoFB), a nonprofit coalition that serves as a critical steward of Flushing Bay and Flushing Creek in Queens that I've been a volunteer and executive board member for the past 8 years! GoFB has evolved into a environmental justice organization with a shared vision of a healthy and equitably accessible Flushing Waterways where our watershed communities feel part of a thriving collective of stewards. Living in urban cities, we often feel disconnected to the land and may not even realize how close we are to the water! Queens has so many creeks that flow through our sweet borough and we deserve to explore and enjoy them! I’m committed to raising $1,000 for GoFB and would love your support if you can help.
