URGENT: PLEASE Help Us Save Eclaire

ECLAIRE UPDATE Morning 6/25/25:

Our hearts are broken. Our sweet Eclair passed away last night.

Despite every effort, round-the-clock care, and all the love we could possibly give, her body just couldn’t keep fighting. After an overnight call from the veterinary team, our staff was able to be by her side as she crossed the rainbow bridge. Eclair was surrounded by love until the very end, and she knew safety, comfort, and kindness in her final days.

Thank you to Noah's Animal Hospital Central and it's team who cared for her and did all they could. And we want to thank every single person who donated, shared her story, or sent words of support. Your generosity gave her a real chance and helped us pursue every possible treatment.

What happens now with your donations?

Because of your kindness, we were able to cover the high cost of Eclair’s intensive medical care. The small amount of remaining funds from her fundraiser will be used to help with the vetting, vaccines, and medical treatment of our incoming dogs.

Working in animal welfare—especially with homeless dogs and crowded shelters—is never easy. We open our hearts knowing they may break, but we do it because we see the incredible potential in these dogs. With love and nurturing they transform—and that’s why we train them to become life-changing service dogs.

Eclair’s legacy will live on through the lives we’ll save in her honor.

ECLAIRE UPDATE Morning 6/24/25; PIC BELOW:

Some hopeful signs—her fever is down, and she’s finally started eating small bites. She’s also coughing up more mucus, which means her lungs are trying to clear.

But we’re not out of the woods. It’s unclear if her fever is down due to antibiotics or steroids, and this morning she’s more lethargic and pale. Her oxygen has been increased, and she’s being closely monitored.

UPDATE Afternoon 6/23/25: They have diagnosed her with blastomycocis, a dangerous fungal infection. She will be given a breathing tube and tests are being done. Her fever has gone up a whole degree in the last hour and they are working to get it back down.

Eclaire came to us already fighting kennel cough, and despite our best efforts, it has progressed and she is rapidly declining. She’s now hospitalized and fighting for her life. They anticipate keeping her for 5 days and her vet care will cost upwards of $9,000—we need your help.

Eclaire is in training to become a life-saving medical alert dog. One day, she’ll protect someone’s life. Today, we’re asking you to help save hers.
