Sponsor The Art of Organizing: 2025 Summer Intensive Course!

This August, the Institute for Social Ecology is hosting its annual summer intensive course in Lexington, Kentucky. It will be a week of movement building, political education, organizer training and hands-on artistic production—fitting this year’s theme The Art of Organizing. Bringing together indigenous land defenders, tenant organizers, cooperators, abolitionists, feminists and more, our overarching focus will be on the role of the arts in grassroots movement building and the struggle to transform society. This event is being anchored by artfarm, a cooperative arts space serving as our venue, and we are also joined by a variety of local host organizations and projects that have helped to craft the program, invited their members to participate, and carried much of the work required for it to be a success. Those partners include the Appalachian Rekindling Project, Kentucky Tenants, Free Lexington, Fight Toxic Prisons, Breadbox Project, and the Kentucky Student Environmental Coalition.

It will cost at least $10,000 to put on this event. ISE events are priced at a sliding scale so that cost is not a barrier for participation. Your solidarity helps make it possible for us to be inclusive of everyone seeking to deepen their political education and build connections with movements building transformative change.

Organizational Sponsorship entails helping to cover the cost of participation of those unable to afford the full registration fee. We will recognize organizations as sponsors for contributions of $500 or more. To demonstrate our deep gratitude, sponsors will be recognized by being listed in the program and on the website, with their organizational logos displayed. We will also name and thank sponsors individually at the opening and closing circles during the event itself.

Individual Sponsorship we deeply appreciate individuals who contribute to support the participation of folks unable to cover the full cost of their registration which is $375 per person. Your donation helps ensure that this event will be open to all. The ISE is a 501c3 organization and all contributions and tax deductible.
