Danica had been living on the streets of Boulder for 8 years. Last year she got in to permanent housing!! We encouraged her to form an Amazon wishlist so our community could send her some things to make her new house a home. She also has a cat we helped to provide some food and kitty litter for.

At the time, when we asked her for guidance on her registry items. she'd said, "I'm pretty simple and anything would be a blessing and just one step closer to living a great life finally being inside and getting to enjoy the amenities that I've gone so long without. I am improving my life so this is a big step to have my own place and be responsible and take care of my cat. I just have great hopes."

Since that time, we have maintained communications with Danica, and always love receiving her updates. Recently she shared with us that she would benefit greatly from a mode of transport that would help her get around and offer more independence. We have been combing local sales for a 49cc scooter for her, and we've found one!
