Naomi has been out of work since February, when she gave birth to her son. Because she hadn’t been at her job for a full year, she wasn’t eligible for paid maternity leave. She was able to use some of her PTO to get through March and April, but by May, the bills started piling up and she fell behind on rent.

 

She’s now working hard to get the paperwork together for childcare assistance so she can return to work as soon as possible. In the meantime, NeighborUp was able to step in and help cover her May rent and utility bills. That support gave her some breathing room and peace of mind while ensuring she and her baby remained housed. 

 

With guidance from her Community Support Specialist, Naomi is now focused on securing a childcare voucher so she can get back to work and continue providing for her family.
