Grand Expectations has a unique mission: to advance economic equity by addressing the needs of those in underserved communities by providing resources that help them achieve and maintain life stabilization.

Our inaugural year of service is almost over, and we plan to help a greater amount of people in 2023. That’s why with only three days left in 2022, we’re counting on your vital year-end support to help uplift those working to uplift themselves. We’re raising $3,000 to support families and individuals to stay on the path of self-sufficiency.

Your support is a message to our participants that there are people who have grand expectations for them and believe they will succeed.

Why we Serve

It is recognized that even when an individual or family is no longer considered impoverished there is a slippery slope to maintaining that status. Interconnecting factors play a part in whether they will be able to maintain their hard earned status out of poverty and fully gain economic independence.

Many of our students in college experience substantial barriers to achieving their desired degrees. Often they experience housing instability, and possibly homelessness, while 37 percent experience food insecurity, according to the Hope Center for Colleges, Community, and Justice. These students have to choose between books and supplies for class or food.

Whole Support

Grand Expectations work alongside individuals experiencing dire situations to help them maintain their stability, to reach their goals, and obtain economic freedom. Our program allows them to earn financial assistance for rent, daycare, transportation, food, books, and supplies by participating in our life skills training curriculum.

Your support will allow us to help more working families and individuals who need help with child care, rental/mortgage assistance, utility payments, and educational needs.
