Sensory Item Kits

We assist the Prince William County Police Department Co-Responder Unit by donating Sensory Item Kits. Our Sensory Item Kits were put together with the help of families who have kids or adults with autism and special needs, and experts in the field of Occupational Therapy and Speech Pathology.

These items have proven to be helpful and effective when assisting and interacting with people who have special needs such as autism, who are non-verbal, and have auditory sensitivity.

Oftentimes these items may go home with the person who is dealing with a crisis as they help aid them in their time of need.

We are working on replacing some of these items and updating the current drawstring-style bags, which have seen better days, with zippered backpacks that will be more durable and comfortable for carrying these items.

We appreciate your help in reaching our monetary goal so that we can continue to provide these kits at no cost to the department.
