The cycle of disastrous flooding is a root cause of poverty in Freetown, Sierra Leone. Every year over 10,000 people have their lives upended by extreme weather, keeping families trapped in a cycle of poverty.

During the flood season, students are unable to attend school. Property is destroyed, throwing families into a financial crisis.

With your support, we provide families with:

Clean drinking water
Raincoats (there are no shelters for them to go to)
Toiletries, especially soap
Rice for food (most food gets washed away)
Bales of dry clothing and bedding
Volunteers to sort and distribute
