Israel is under attack and HAMAS has made it clear that all civilians are potential targets. Since October 7, Red Alert sirens have forced men, women and children to quickly take cover or spend long hours in safe and protected spaces. But SHMAYA’s kindergarten for the hearing impaired is not equipped to protect our children from the ongoing threat. Our 20 students, aged three to six, come from all across central Israel to our Bnai Brak location, where ongoing rocket barrages continue daily.
Now that Homefront Command has instructed all schools to reopen, and due to the fact that parents across the country have been called to serve on the front lines, our children need a safe space where they can learn… and a safe space where they can be protected.
Staying home is not an option. Our children need the specialized support, including emotional therapies to cope during these difficult times, and our families need additional support, especially when one or both parents are serving in uniform or working long hours to secure the home front.
Help SHMAYA build a protected space for our Bnai Brak kindergarten, and secure the most vulnerable members of our society during the war.
