Montclair has always held a special place in Jessica’s heart. Jessica attended Nishuane Elementary School for Kindergarten and first grade. Her love for the arts blossomed when she played her first big role, a "Frog", in a production of The Great Kapok Tree. She was hooked – having a role in every play from elementary school through college. After college, Jessica worked in the fashion industry and after years at Ralph Lauren decided to make a big change. She went back to school for her elementary certification and is currently teaching Kindergarten at Nishuane! Jessica notes, “I am thrilled to have made this career change and ecstatic that I am able to teach at the same school that shaped the person I am today.”
Although she never lived in Montclair, it has been a second home. Her mother taught at Watchung School for almost 30 years and her father was a principal (Nishuane, Mt. Hebron) and Superintendent of Montclair Public Schools. From her elementary-school years through college, Jessica spent her summers setting up her mom's classroom and got to know the amazing teachers and parents that make up this community.
Jessica currently lives in Westwood with her husband, Craig, and son, Callen.
She is enthusiastically supporting ShowUs Montclair and is committed to contributing to MFEE’s efforts for years to come.
