We’re honored to be working with 2020 Olympian, Professional Skateboarder and MIT Architect Alexis Sablone to construct unique skateable sculptures at Rand Courts in town.

Many of the current obstacles at Rand Courts, which Skate Essex have donated, are made of wood. These wooden elements rapidly deteriorate due to weather and constant use by the hundreds of skaters using them each week. In partnering with Ms. Sablone, we would have one of a kind skateboard obstacles made of concrete and steel. These obstacles will last decades and could be utilized in a future permanent skatepark.

In addition to meeting and hearing from Alexis, there will be guest speakers, delicious food and beverages donated from the local community and a live auction ... we’d love to have you!

This project has the full support of the Township of Montclair and while our 501(c)(3) is pending, we will be able to issue letters of acknowledgment upon request.
