Let's raise money for the playground and recess equipment!

The Skillin School PTA is thrilled to host the third annual Move-a-Thon—a super fun, high-energy student participation fundraiser where students run, walk, skip, and dance their way around the playground! It's all about movement, fun, and community spirit.

Our goal is to raise $3,000 to support our on-going improvements to the playground and to help refresh some of the recess equipment for all our Skillin students.

Every lap makes a difference, and every student gets to join in!

How Donations Work

The Move-a-Thon is Friday, May 30 and we’re inviting family and friends to support their students by making a donation! There are 2 ways to support the Move-a-Thon:

A flat donation. Simply click "Donate Today" to the left, select your amount and grade to support.
Pledge an amount per lap. Your student(s) will track your pledge on their paper pledge sheet and follow up after the event with their total laps and your final amount owed which you can donate here.

Don’t forget to support your student’s grade-level team—every donation helps boost team spirit and contributes to better playground equipment for everyone. Let’s see which grade can move the most and raise the most!

How the Move-a-Thon Works

The Move-a-Thon has been rescheduled to Friday, May 30 due to rain. The Move-a-Thon takes place on the Skillin Playground during the school day.

Each grade will be running at different times:

Kindergarten - 12:55-1:15
First Grade - 1:15-1:35
Second Grade - 1:35-1:55
Third Grade - 1:55-2:15
Fourth Grade - 2:15-2:35

Feel free to come cheer your student(s) on, or volunteer to help refill waters and make sure the day runs smoothly.

The Skillin School PTA is a volunteer-based, 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 2012 that supports and serves the approximately 60 teachers and faculty members and 350 students and their families of Skillin Elementary School.

All donations are 100% tax-deductible and directly impact and enhance the Skillin community.
