Hi, I’m Sloane Fries, and for my Bat Mitzvah, I wanted to do something meaningful that reflects who I am and what I care about.

I chose to raise money for the Food Allergy Institute because of my brother, Luke. Luke has dealt with many food allergies including dairy, eggs, peanuts, sesame, etc., and I’ve seen firsthand how hard that can be for him and for our whole family. Watching Luke go through those challenges taught me a lot about compassion, strength, and gratitude.

The Food Allergy Institute has changed lives for so many families like ours by helping kids overcome their allergies through their T.I.P. (Tolerance Induction Program). But I also know that not every family can afford the treatment, and that’s why I’m fundraising to help provide scholarships for families who need financial assistance so their children can continue their journey toward food freedom.

This cause means so much to me. I’m so thankful for the Food Allergy Institute and everything they’ve done to bring hope to families like mine.
