Smooch’s Fundraiser

The sweetest guy around, Smooch, has been struggling lately. He’s always been a thinner cow compared to the rest as his healthy weight, but this winter he’s been sickly thin. Despite having constant access to food and still eating normally.

We had the vet come out to get blood and poop samples to test for all the things it could be, with the only result being high levels of inflammation, and not any of the diseases this would typically be.

We’re starting him on a trial round of meds to see if that helps him at all, as the vet recommends in case it gives him any more comfort.

If that doesn’t help, we’ll stop the medicine. Unfortunately if that’s the case, it may be a sign of cancer.

He has been getting extra food for as long as this has been going on, to no improvement besides loving the extra goodies.  He’s also been loving his naps in the sunshine and being spoiled more than usual.

Overall, we’re doing the best we can to try and figure him out and get him better. We’ll keep everyone posted with any updates. We know so many of you love this sweet boy as much as we do, which we are forever grateful for. Any love from a far will do this cutie some good. Thank you so much. 🙏💛🐄
