Dress Code: Formal Attire from head to ankle—but your sneakers? They’ve got to shine! Bling out your kicks and step into the night with your own "Be Great" sneakers, representing resilience, passion, and purpose.

This special event, held in honor of Curtis Gray’s motto, “Be Great,” is designed to foster community engagement through a meaningful and enjoyable mindfulness activity.

PURPOSE OF THE EVENT:

The Sneaker Ball Gala is a charitable event supporting three key initiatives:

The Curtis Gray Track & Field Scholarship – Awarded to student-athletes who give back to their communities.
“Who Cracked My Egg?” SEL (social emotional learning) Culinary Program – Providing afterschool and summer school mental health support through social-emotional learning.
Student Sneaker Auction Benefit - Students who design and decorate a sneaker for the auction, will receive 60% of the Sneaker's Auction sale price for education, training or career development. The other 40% will support LLC Programs.

Sneaker Ball Gala: Silent Auction Guidelines

Participation:

Students: We encourage art students (5 Seniors from Matanzas & 5 Seniors from FPCHS) to create custom-designed sneakers that reflect their unique vision of greatness. *Submission Deadline for curated Sneaker is April 25th.
Businesses: Businesses are encouraged to purchase shoes for the students to participate, or embellishments.

Personal Sneaker Design:

All attendees may design your personal sneakers using a logo or brand image. Get creative with design elements such as rhinestones, stencil art, paint, or other embellishments. Not artistic? No worries, plain sneakers are optional.
*Note: Personal sneakers are for your enjoyment and will not be permitted for auction unless they meet industry standards benchmarks. See definition below:

Industry Standards Definition:

Industry standards for sneaker designs and artwork means, they are suitable to sell and ready to wear. This includes quality craftsmanship and finishing, and artistic value. Sneakers should have durable materials, artistic detailing, and aesthetically appealing designs that meet or exceed the Sneaker Ball Gala market expectations. In other words, they should be appealing enough to sell and buy.

Sneaker Donation Registration:

Register Your Sneaker Donation: Use the provided online portal to track contributions and ensure your sneakers are included in the event, we are accepting the first 30 Sneakers for the silent auction. Hurry and register early!

Students Registration:

Students participating in the custom-designed sneaker creation should fill out the registration form.
