In the face of increasing legal challenges and systemic barriers, the South Asian community in the U.S. is fighting battles on multiple fronts. The South Asian Legal Defense Fund aims to protect the rights of our communities through a mix of direct legal services and advocacy, focusing on the following policy areas: gender-based violence, labor exploitation, racialized Islamophobia, and civil liberties violations.  We hope to support vulnerable workers, challenge systemic barriers, and assist in cases of domestic violence, wage theft, and hate crimes.  The Fund also mobilizes rapidly in times of crisis, offering immediate legal support to those in need.  We’re launching this urgent campaign to raise $350,000 for the South Asian Legal Defense Fund to ensure our community has the legal resources, advocacy, and support necessary to fight for justice.
