This holiday season the Spencer Regional Healthcare Foundation's annual fund drive is supporting the Patient Needs Fund. It was conceived to help those who have a few extra needs, possibly due to a fixed income or inability to work due to illness.

Each individual patient's needs vary; however, the most frequent funding assistance has been for transportation aid to medical appointments, assistance with securing medical equipment, or emergency clothing during or following a hospitalization. Through the Foundation's Patient Needs Fund, social workers can identify small ways to provide assistance that promotes healing and prevents disruption of services for those in need.
