Story
Stella lives in Massachusetts with her doting family that's always cheering on their little star.
Her parents say that whether she's blissfully splashing waves in the pool or gleefully gliding down the playground slide, their 5-year-old's cheerful disposition kindles the same happy, loving spirit in everyone around her.
Stella has Autism and DDX3X Syndrome.
The severity of her condition has delayed all aspects of her development. Everyday tasks like getting dressed are difficult and time-consuming. She becomes overwhelmingly frustrated when she can communicate her basic needs, sensory sensitivities, or understanding of social cues when interacting with her peers.
Stella's family has partnered with Good Dog to provide her with a faithful friend to improve her quality of life. She has been matched with Good Dog! Shadow, who will help her by:

About Good Dog! Service Canines
Good Dog! Autism Companions was founded in 2011 by the parents of an autistic boy. After getting a service dog for their son, they soon realized the life-changing benefits these dogs could provide to so many more. Today, Good Dog! Service Canines provides highly trained service dogs to children with disabilities and their families, helping them live better lives! Each dog is professionally trained using only positive reinforcement methods because we believe the true power of the human/canine bond is brought about through a loving, trusting relationship. Good Dog! Autism Companions, founded in 2011, has expanded its services to help more kids and families. We are now doing business as Good Dog! Service Canines. Thanks to all whose support let the love grow!
