At BirdsCaribbean, we are 100% dedicated to saving the incredible birds of the Caribbean, including 185 unique species found nowhere else and hundreds of migratory birds that depend on these islands for survival.
But saving birds requires more than passion—it takes people working together, equipped with the right tools, skills, and support. That’s why empowering local conservationists and communities is at the heart of everything we do. From hands-on training to resources and funding, we ensure that those on the frontlines of conservation have what they need to succeed.
Education is also critical. By inspiring young people to connect with the natural world, we are building a generation of bird champions. Through birds, we open eyes to the beauty and value of nature and spark actions that create lasting change. And it works—again and again, we see people transformed into passionate protectors of their environment.
This year’s theme, Stronger Together: Empowering People, Protecting Birds, celebrates the network of incredible conservationists we work with across the Caribbean. These dedicated individuals lead the charge, from studying rare species and restoring habitats to engaging communities and creating hope for the future. Their determination inspires me every single day.
