Supporting Animal Health at the Lake Superior Zoo
At the Lake Superior Zoo, expert veterinary care happens every day—quietly, compassionately, and always with the health and well-being of our animals at heart. Behind every heartwarming moment and memorable visit is a dedicated team of veterinary and animal care professionals working to keep our residents healthy and thriving through regular checkups, treatments, and specialized care.
This year has shown the true depth of that commitment. When SeaQuest Roseville closed its doors, our team helped rescue nearly 200 animals, providing each with essential veterinary care before finding them new homes or permanent sanctuary at LSZoo. And Tundra, our beloved brown bear, made history as the first bear in the world to receive a custom metal crown—a groundbreaking procedure made possible through teamwork and compassion.
While extraordinary stories like these inspire us all, it’s the daily, high-quality care that defines our mission—wellness exams, vaccinations, dental cleanings, and treatments tailored to each animal’s unique needs. These essential services represent a significant part of our annual costs, and your support ensures we can continue providing them.
Your gift makes healing possible by helping us:
Provide medical care for rescued and resident animals
Fund diagnostic tools, medications, and specialized treatments
Support emergency procedures and rehabilitation
From $25 for a wellness exam to $2,500 for new diagnostic tools, every contribution strengthens the care that keeps our animals healthy year-round.
Join us in supporting Veterinary Care in Action—because expert care, compassion, and community make all the difference.
