Hello neighbors,

It is with the heaviest of hearts that we write this and are coming to you asking for help. We have loved being a part of the Roxborough community and providing loving care to your fur babies for 3 years as A Dog's World and 15 years as Bark At The World. We hope that we will have the opportunity to continue to do just that - but that hope, our dream, is in jeopardy of collapsing around us.

Unfortunately, the upper respiratory illness that has been plaguing the dogs in the US since last spring comes on the heels of COVID where we were just starting to see the light. Our revenue began significantly declining by August, 2023. Our 2023 holiday buisness was affectd by this so-called "mystery dog illness". What should have been our busy season became one of our worst on record. Even with many of our reservations being canceled as of August 2023, the overall nubmers for the year show that there truly is a need in our community for what we offer:

Over 12,500 daycare dogs
Nearly 8,700 boarding dogs
Close to 2,500 groomings
Almost 3,000 in-home visits to care for pets, water plants, administer medication, pickup mail and so much more

And, of course, we couldn't have done any of it without our team of 38 amazing pack mates.

In addition to being an all-inclusive pet daycare, boarding, and grooming salon right in the heart of Roxborough, we provide many other services that draw customers to Roxborough to the benefit of all businesses in the area:

Regular vaccination clinics in partnership with local veterinarians
Partner with Soul Dog Rescue to find fosters and homes for pets that need them
Host free community events such as Santa Paws in partnership with local businesses
Partner with Colorado Parks and Wildlife to offer discounts to hikers with dogs to keep Roxborough Park dog-free
Pet boutique for unique pet (and human gifts), pet food and treats, and CBD products
- We work with a number of local businesses to promote and sell their products in our store

So, we are humbly asking for your support. We have exhausted every avenue available to us and we are faced with the very real possibility of having to close our doors. So, if you are able, please contribute to this campaign to keep our dream alive and keep Roxborough Woof-Tastic!
