Electric Potential empowers youth from historically marginalized communities to become tomorrow's media changemakers. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (EIN 86-2946762), we're revolutionizing the media landscape by providing comprehensive training in media literacy, storytelling, and journalism to youth who have been traditionally underrepresented in these spaces.

Our innovative programs equip BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, disabled, women, nonbinary, low-income, and first-generation youth with the skills, mentorship, and professional networks needed to drive social change through media. By fostering new standards of excellence and inclusivity, we're building a future where diverse voices lead the conversation on social issues.

Our Impact:

Since our inception, we have trained 110 youth through our internship programs. By the end of 2025, we aim to:

Train 300 youth in total, equipping them with essential media skills
Publish 100 pieces of high-impact editorial content
Reach 10,000 readers with youth-created content
