Power Her Voice: Support Girls Talk’s Global Work
Girls Talk is more than a nonprofit — it’s a movement.
Founded in The Gambia and now officially registered in the United States, Girls Talk Organisation is expanding its impact with Los Angeles as our newest base of operations.
As we grow in the U.S., we are building culturally responsive, healing-centered programs for Black, Brown, immigrant, and underserved girls across Los Angeles — creating safe spaces where girls can heal, lead, and thrive.
This campaign fuels our expansion in Los Angeles and strengthens our cross-border impact between the U.S. and The Gambia.
In Los Angeles, your support allows us to:
End the silence around mental health in marginalized communities
Provide safe spaces and peer-led mentorship for girls navigating identity, culture, and systemic barriers
Deliver menstrual health kits and reproductive justice education
Challenge harmful gender norms through media literacy and civic engagement
Build the next generation of girl leaders, advocates, and changemakers
As a newly registered U.S.-based nonprofit, this funding is critical. It helps us establish infrastructure, expand programming, build local partnerships, and ensure that girls in Los Angeles have access to affirming, leadership-driven spaces rooted in healing justice.
Your donation directly supports:
Workshops and school-based programs
Community safe spaces
Youth leadership and ambassador pathways
Advocacy and civic engagement training
Mental health education and support services
When you give to Girls Talk, you’re not just supporting a program.
You’re investing in a girl in Los Angeles who will rise, lead, and transform her community.
And as she rises, so does the world.
