Support Invisible Warriors

NOTE: Givebutter is a donation platform that we get to use for free. They do charge a small processing fee for each donation (to cover bank and credit card company fees) which you can kindly cover so we get your full donation or let the charge be billed to us from your donation.

Since Givebutter is free, they also request a “tip” during the donation process to help with the expenses incurred while running their company. While it’s fair to make this request and common practice (see Zeffy who does the same), it is not required. The tip amount, if any, is up to you. If you don’t want to tip Givebutter, simply change the percentage to 0. Please be aware that if you don’t change it, you will automatically be charged the suggested percentage. We thank you for your understanding and support!

Invisible Warriors is a nonprofit organization that supports women veterans who are dealing with PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder), MST (Military Sexual Trauma), and other invisible autoimmune and chronic illnesses.

PTSD is a mental health condition that can develop after experiencing or witnessing traumatic events. For women veterans, this may result from combat exposure, life-threatening situations, or other intense experiences during military service.

MST refers to sexual assault or repeated, threatening sexual harassment that occurs during military service. It's a form of trauma that disproportionately affects women in the military.

Donating to Invisible Warriors enables us to do the following:

1. Offer specialized support: We offer tailored programs, such as bringing in experts to meet with the women virtually, addressing the unique challenges women veterans face, especially those with invisible illnesses that may be overlooked.

2. Provide comprehensive care: By focusing on both mental health issues like PTSD/MST and physical health concerns such as autoimmune and  other invisible illnesses, Invisible Warriors provides holistic support. Since these women feel they cannot speak to anyone about what they experienced, we provide a private, safe online community where they can come together to support each other in ways they cannot anywhere else.

3. Raise awareness: Donations help fund outreach and education about these often under-recognized issues affecting women veterans. Funds also go to run MST retreats, where women can step away from their regular lives in small groups to meet with mental health professionals, JAG lawyers, and PTSD counselors. This enables them to return to their lives strengthened, encouraged, and supported by their new small group.

4. Fill gaps in care: While the VA offers services, organizations like Invisible Warriors provide additional or alternative support options and in a much more timely manner.

5. Empowering survivors: Our programs focus on helping women veterans regain control of their lives and heal from both visible and invisible traumas and illnesses.

6. Research and advocacy: Donations will support our ongoing research into better treatments and advocacy for improved policies for women veterans with these conditions.

Donating to Invisible Warriors helps ensure that women veterans with PTSD, MST, and other invisible illnesses receive the specialized support they need to recover and thrive after their military service.

Invisible Warriors is a 501(c) nonprofit run 100% by volunteers. All funds donated go straight to our programs for women veterans.
