Support STAND!

Since 1977, STAND! has been proudly serving the residents of Contra Costa as the only confidential shelter-based, wrap-around service provider for survivors of domestic violence and their children.  STAND! works to eliminate intimate partner violence and cultivate safer communities through healthy relationships.

For the last 46 years, STAND! has worked to end interpersonal and gender-based violence in our community, through a full spectrum of multi-modal services and support to interrupt, address, recover, heal, and repair the harm when an individual or a family has experienced violence in their home.

STAND! achieves this in a few ways: a 24/7 multi-lingual crisis line and residential campus where those at highest risk of lethal violence, can escape, rest, and begin their healing journey. A counseling center staffed with therapists who are specifically trained in addressing trauma and supporting parenting after violence.

STAND! also offers programs for those who have caused harm and have used violence in their relationships, helping to unpack the roots of their beliefs and behaviors, take accountability for the harm they have caused, and restore healthy relationships.

In the hopes of preventing relationship violence before it ever starts, STAND! leads school and community-based prevention programs equipping student leaders with the knowledge and skills to form healthy dating relationships and interrupt toxic masculinity.  Elevating the next generation who will lead with commitment to breaking the cycle of abuse and harm.
