The Santa Maria Philharmonic presents Music at the Library With Suri Kim.

Saturday, June 8th, 2024 @ 3:00 pm at Shepard Hall in the Santa Maria Public Library

Young Virtuoso Pianist Suri Kim will perform works by Bach, Beethoven, and Rachmaninoff, Saturday June 8^th at 3pm at the Santa Maria Public Library/ Shepard Hall. The ‘Music at the Library’ series is presented by the Santa Maria Philharmonic Society, and Ms. Kim is sponsored by Don Casebolt.

Suri Kim is a passionate young pianist from Santa Maria California. Now age 15, she has received many awards during the past year, including second place in the State Finals at CAPMT Honors Competition as well as the coveted Andrys Basten Award, first place in the Paderewski Festival Youth Competition which led to her travels to Poland last Summer as part of their cultural exchange program, and last Spring she played a Mozart Concerto with the Santa Maria Philharmonic. A highlight for her in 2022 was a trip to NYC where she performed at Lincoln Center as a winner of the Golden Key Music Festival. Ms. Kim attends Orcutt Academy High School and has studied piano with Dr. Lynne Garrett since she was age 5. Suri loves chamber music, photography, and creative writing.

This concert is free to the public, donations are accepted.
