TAPS strives to provide the highest standard of percussion education with a curriculum that teaches community leadership alongside artistry. 

TAPS faculty is comprised of the top performers and educators in the percussion field. Our classes cover a wide variety of styles, genres, and topics that allow TAPS fellows to experience and learn about all aspects of percussion. Our fellows are presented with incredible opportunities to hone in on their musicality and develop as performers through chamber performances, mock auditions, and solo performances. 

TAPS sees cultural equity and inclusion as a critical element in achieving our mission to make percussion education accessible to a wider audience. We seek to provide the highest level of percussion education to students of all ages and backgrounds, all at no cost to our students. All ticket funds go directly towards this mission to keep the TAPS LA Music Festival accessible and tuition-free.
