It is very close to that time of the year where our small colony of gentlemen, Squishy, Pookie and Boo Boo, are due to be humanely trapped and brought in for their regular routine wellness care!!

These three are brought in annually for sedated check ups where they get all of their vaccinations updated, a topical flea/tick/heartworm/deworming medication applied and anything else that might be recommended by our vet. Last year when we checked their teeth, it was determined that it wasn't necessary to perform any dental work... but it has been 12 months, and it is very possible that their teeth will need some care this year.

Squishy, Pookie and Boo Boo mean a lot to us, even though they don’t want to be loved on the way we WANT to love on them, so we still strive to provide them with the best care recommended for outdoor kitties. For each of them to get their routine care, it will cost us around $1,000 ($300-350 per cat), which is what we are hoping to raise right now. Once they've been trapped and examined, we will know exactly what their other needs may be (including those pesky dentals), and then we can update you (and our goal) accordingly. Dentals can be pricey - upwards of $1500 per cat. We are crossing our fingers that we won't need to go that route, but their teeth will dictate our path. Anything we raise above their immediate medical needs with either go toward their food bill, or put aside for their next round of medical care.

We decided to create this space that is dedicated to our feral little boys in order to keep you updated on their journey, as well as allow you to help us continue to care for these guys.

They've earned a very special place not only in our hearts, but in the hearts of Courtney and Kristina, who see to their needs on a regular basis.
