Please support Woerth It Hollow's mission of providing therapeutic benefits in a farm setting for veterans and individuals with disabilities by teaching farming skills and the rehabilitation of equines and other animals, thus allowing all involved to gain stable ground.

Woerth It Hollow provides equine-assisted programs for veterans and individuals with disabilities as well as their families. We also rehabilitate horses and foster kittens. Our programs run year-round and are provided at no cost to the participants. Donations, fundraisers, and grants help us care for the horses, provide our programs and maintenance around the farm.

During the year we participate in various community events including Whiskers, Wags & Wine Rescue Event, Warriors on the Water, VetFest, Christmas in Q'ville and more. We have hosted field trips to the farm and volunteer days including some large groups. We also provide Fiona as the Riderless Horse during ceremonies including Wreaths Across America and a Vietnam War Memorial Dedication. Woerth It Hollow is a member of the Southern Lancaster Chamber of Commerce and the Oxford Area Chamber of Commerce

In 2023 we had 147 new visitors to the farm and in 2024 we had 217 new visitors to the farm. Woerth It Hollow is run 100% on volunteers. We have no employees and we are able to provide our services and care for the horses due to the efforts of our volunteers.

Woerth It Hollow has been a blessing for us since we immigrated from the Dominican Republic. Our daughter, Adrially, started attending over a year ago. She loves feeding the horses, playing with the kittens, and cleaning. Her confidence level has greatly improved thanks to the support and training she receives. My son Gavin started doing barn chores at Woerth It Hollow a little over a year ago. At the time, he only liked doing chores & wanted little to do with the animals. Now he & his dad love the cats & Gavin loves leading the horses. He even got to ride a horse which would never have happened a year ago. Woerth It Hollow and their therapeutic program have brought so much happiness and new skills to our daughter’s life. Every week she and her father, go to Woerth It Hollow together and help feed, brush, and any other care needed for the mini horses, she also plays with the kittens. Just recently, our daughter started walking Dusty with her father, and she has been sharing that experience with everyone she sees with a huge smile on her face. The skills she is learning, such as feeding the mini horses, are starting to transfer to home as she now feeds her dogs daily and even brushes them. Our daughter looks forward to her time at Woerth It Hollow with Day, she has gained so much experience, and new knowledge about caring for animals during her sessions. We are very thankful for such an amazing program, and it’s a great way for her and father to share some time together and build wonderful memories.

We currently have 9 horses (Stella, Fiona, Chloe, Grace, OT, Pegasus, Gizmo, Dusty & Nevada). It costs an average of $35 per week per horse for feed. During the colder months it costs an additional $20 in hay per week per horse. Please help us continue our mission.
