On September 27, 2024 Hurricane Helene ripped through Central Appalachia. Many lost their businesses, their homes, their belongings, and some have lost loved ones to this disaster. The Town of Damascus, VA along with neighboring communities of Konnarock, White Top, and Green Cove experienced significant damage. The renowned Creeper Trail was rendered unusable by this storm and it will take significant investment and restoration to reopen this trail to the public.

Through the devastation, the people of Washington County, VA have come together showing incredible resilience and support for one another. This tragedy has drawn in support and volunteers from far and wide, within the state of Virginia and beyond. The support and connection within our community and beyond has allowed the restoration and rebuilding process to move forward quickly, AND there is still so much to be done!

Trails to Recovery was founded in response to the Hurricane Helene Disaster, and YOU can be a part of the story of restoration! Your donation helps to rebuild entire homes, restore flooded residences, and rejuvenate this beautiful slice of Appalachia. The Next Level Trainings team running this specific fundraiser is a stand for freedom, connection, and passion for our communities and the world.
