Hi, my name's Luke McDonald and I am a Senior Economics student in Terry College of Business from Fort Worth, Texas. I chose to fight because I've personally experienced the downsides of substance dependance, anxiety and depression and I have seen the ways it affects people close to me throughout my life. I am fighting because I believe there is always a better alternative and a brighter future for our lives. I believe that alternative is true fulfillment and peace through a close relationship with God. As men have done poorly in the past, I believe that we need to show the love the Bible commands us to share with each other so that we can combat the issue of suicide and depression and the related overdoses that kill far too many young men. Almost everyone I know has had close friends lose their lives to these things and I believe this is the best way I can combat it.
