Story
An Idea Based on Equity
For many, the idea of a professional career in theatre seems impossible. Several hurdles may impede your goals- finances, family, knowledge, experience, support systems, confidence and a myriad of other circumstances.
TGI's founder, Corey Mitchell, has worked with students for the past twenty-five years who have faced these obstacles. Although Mitchell has a proven record of accomplishment, neither he nor Theatre Gap Initiative can solve those problems. However, they can be a vital step in helping to face challenges head-on and create opportunities that may not have been possible before.
Please donate towards my Theatre Gap Initiative Tuition.
Theatre Gap Initiative is a seven month gap year program that meets five days a week from 9:30a-3:00p. We will study acting, voice, dance, acting for the camera, interviewing skills, voice and diction and much more. TGI will assist us through the college application process including essay writing, FAFSA application, pre screens and in person auditions for more than 100 BFA acting and musical theatre programs throughout the country and beyond.
With your support, I will be able to follow my dreams of becoming a professional actor by attending a four year BFA program next fall.
Tuition: $6300
Housing: $4200 (Some students will need housing if from out of state)
With Gratitude and Appreciation.
