Please do your best to arrive on time and be prepared to sit quietly throughout the event. All attendees will gather outside and be let in the sanctuary at the same time. We come together in sacred reverence and ask that all who attend help hold this intention. Conveying this mindset to your child before arriving is important and appreciated. An angel will guide the children through the spiral. Due to time and numbers, children will walk in groups and siblings may walk together. As with the Waldorf traditions of old, we plan to have each child light a candle in the center of the spiral and then carefully place their candle before exiting the spiral. We have done this many time and it is a special part in the ceremony but it requires awareness. Please talk with your child about safely carrying a lit candle before the event...maybe even practice at home! Thank you for your help in creating this seasonal ceremony together.
