Pediatric cancer is the #1 disease-killer of children in the US. Funding pediatric cancer research is a necessity to help save the lives of these children. Thornebrooke is teaming up with Cannonball Kids’ cancer Foundation (CKc) to help fight against this horrible disease. Almost all of the current treatments are created for adults, which can be too much for the children’s bodies to handle. Too many families hear the daunting news that ‘there are no more options.’ Here is how Thornebrooke students can help. How?
1. Donate - donate change to jar – Week of September 13 – grade level competition
2. Volunteer - make cards for kids in the library – Week of September 20
3. Educate - sharing what you've learned – Weekly Letters to Parents
Join us today and help save these young lives by supporting CKc’s mission to fund innovative, accessible research for children fighting cancer to provide better treatments and quality of life, and educate for change.
