💔 Bunny. A lifetime spent in rescue. And now she needs you.

Bunny wasn’t even a year old when she came into our rescue in 2018. She’s now 8.5 years old.

She’s grown old while waiting for a forever home… and over time, developed long-term health complications that led us to the hardest decision—Bunny would spend her remaining years with us.

And this weekend, she almost didn’t make it.

Bunny stopped eating.

Then came the vomiting.

Then she became lethargic… her breathing changed.

We rushed her to the ER.

Her blood pressure was dangerously low.

She was severely dehydrated.

Her labs showed her kidneys struggling and her liver values dangerously elevated.

This was a life-threatening episode related to her Addison’s disease—a critical adrenal disorder.

The team moved fast—fluids, steroids, medications.

They stabilized her.

She made it home—but she’s not out of the woods yet. She’ll need repeat labs and continued care over the next several days to make sure her body continues to recover.

But saving her life cost:

Bunny spent years waiting for someone to choose her.
