About The New Local Nonprofit (TNL)

TNL champions local, women and non-binary artists, while building bridges between these creators and the broader community. We focus our outreach towards the most vulnerable populations within Boulder county, fostering accessible, innovative arts education for everyone.

2nd Annual International Women's Day Celebration

Two full days of interactive artistic demonstrations and workshops that celebrate local, women artists who are pioneers in their field, while honoring women who lived and worked in Boulder’s early settlement in the mid-19th century. Within the walls of our 1880's headquarters, we'll honor the traditions of culture and education that women pioneers cultivated in early Western towns, like Boulder. Learning skills like functional ceramics, willow weaving, grinding paint from rocks and botanical dying, we'll better understand the contributions of early women settlers to our beloved city.

Friday, March 8th: TNL welcomes students from local schools for an interactive field trip at our downtown headquarters. Students will learn from local women artists by participating in mini-workshops of the pioneer arts of Colorado as well as living artists of today.

Saturday, March 9th: TNL will host all day mini-workshops for all ages at our downtown gallery and annex. Workshops will be taught by local woman artists and celebrate their pioneer craft in the arts of today. By fundraising, we hope to make this event free to all community members to attend.
