As the curtain closes on another year, we wanted to reflect with gratitude and pride on the incredible journey we’ve shared with your support.

From the standing ovations, to the shared laughter and tears, to the heartfelt stories we’ve brought to life together, we have charted a course for local theatre excellence that we could not have accomplished without you.

A year ago, Theatre Tulsa planted new roots in a repurposed retail store on Peoria Avenue with a bold vision: create a vibrant storefront theatre space that would further expand our mission of providing locally-produced theatre year after year for our community. That vision has now been active throughout 2024, and we are building achievements that underscore the success of that move.

• A celebration of storytelling: Our 2024 productions have been designed to appeal to nearly every possible taste. We produced the family-friendly fun of Annie, the life-affirming comedy Calendar Girls, and the rich cultural experience of Once on This Island, among many others. With every show, we aim to provide consistently high-quality experiences presented by our theatre community for your immense enjoyment.

• A regional premiere: Theatre Tulsa was among the first companies in the nation to secure advance rights to Waitress, making Tulsa one of the first communities across the country to produce this modern musical gem. (This show was LOVED by our fans.)

• Growth for all: By opening our studio to new opportunities, we’ve not only been increasing programming, but also providing ways for local performance groups, classes, and fellow theatre companies to share in utilizing the space.

• Support for new voices: By offering our studio space and production staff expertise, we were proud to support this year's production of the Cherokee Nation's Nanyehi, an essential piece of storytelling for our Oklahoma's indigenous community.

• Equipping for excellence: With upgraded lighting, sound, and more, we’ve prepared our studio to host even more dynamic programming, such as our recent Theatre Tulsa Academy production of Avenue Q: School Edition.

Every achievement is a testament to the unwavering support of our biggest fans. But the story doesn’t end here.

Your donation ensures we can continue covering the costs of our studio space, artistic fees, and performance royalties – the large, essential building blocks of our company that are not covered solely by ticket sales.
