This Giving Tuesday, we honor Kuuy Nahwá'a, the Tongva practice of guest exchange. Through the generosity of guests who have walked in reciprocity with us, the return of Huhuunga became possible. When the Tongva community gathered there for the Fall Equinox, it marked the first ceremony in over 180 years on land under our stewardship.

"I was there when [Huhuunga] was kind of just dirt and mounds. And seeing that huge change is like, I think it marks a rebirth of our people," shares Cristian Villegas, a Tongva youth who witnessed the transformation.
