2026 Donations

To highlight The Westfield Foundation's 50 years of partnership and community impact, we invested more than $1.7 million to strengthen education, the arts, community development, and health and social services in Westfield and the surrounding towns. Together, our 2025 quarterly grants supported 45 local organizations with more than $600,000, and our Bogaert Fund strategically invested $662,500 in bold and forward-looking projects.

At the heart of this work is you. Your support makes our mission possible, creating opportunities that uplift lives and strengthen our community. Thanks to your generosity, Trustees marked the Foundation’s 50th anniversary by making five one-time Golden Impact Grants—awarding a total of $500,000 to visionary and inclusive projects that will leave a lasting legacy in Westfield and beyond.

The Foundation for Sustainable Housing ($100,000): Transforming Westfield’s American Legion Post 3 into permanent housing for 22 at-risk veterans, with on-site counseling and job support. This project provides stability, dignity, and long-term solutions for those who served our country.
Project Playground ($75,000): Installing accessible, inclusive play equipment at Washington, McKinley, and Wilson Elementary Schools. This initiative impacts over 1,000 students and ensures all children can learn, grow, and play together.
Center for Creativity @ The Rialto ($100,000): Reimagining the historic Rialto Theater, with its transformation into a vibrant hub for arts education and civic connection. This project expands access to creativity and strengthens community life through the arts.
Westfield Memorial Library ($100,000): Launching a public makerspace with 3D printers, robotics kits, and design software. Open to all ages, this space will spark innovation, support STEM learning, and foster creativity.
Westfield Volunteer Rescue Squad ($125,000): Purchasing a new ambulance thereby expanding volunteer capacity to serve 30,000 residents. This investment ensures timely, reliable emergency response for the entire community.
