In 2019, 2023, and 2024 we were integral to getting abortion and gender affirming care protected in RI with the Reproductive Privacy Act,  Equality in Abortion Coverage Act, and the Health Care Provider Shield Act through creative activism, grassroots organizing, and organizational campaign leadership.

We made the right to abortion into state law before the Supreme Court of these US overturned Roe and fought to include the poorest of us along the way overturning the Hyde Amendment locally. That's no small undertaking, but we did it.

Now we defend those reproductive rights (which includes gender affirming care) with massive attacks from the far right while also putting our grassroots network into higher gear to defend attacks on transgender equality and safety in schools in Rhode Island.

With the Bodily Freedom Forever Index we have built a report that looks at all districts and candidates that stand for these issues as well to help defend this democratic republic this Election 2024.
