This trail was designed and built by the Catskill Mountain Club. It represents our dedication to the idea that hiking trails are good for our communities – residents, visitors and towns. Hiking is the most popular outdoor activity in America, and for good reason. The benefits to our physical and mental health are matched only by the unparalleled experience of seeing, smelling and feeling nature up close.

The CMC is a grass-roots organization of outdoor enthusiasts dedicated to providing a wide range of non-motorized outdoor group activities throughout the Catskill Park and the larger Catskill Mountain region. We seek to provide a variety of opportunities that meet the interests and abilities of all age levels. Our events schedule offers numerous opportunities to hike, to paddle, to cycle, to participate in stewardship activities and to learn about the Catskill region's history, its natural resources and its importance to the environment.

As a gift when you join, you will receive the official CMC embroidered patch. Sew it onto your pack and show your support for the Catskill Mountain Club! In addition, you’ll get free admission to the CMC’s Annual Picnic. You can use your membership card to receive discounts provided to CMC members by several excellent outfitters located throughout the region.
